![]() ![]() Okay cool, In my world it's a small comunity.I usually know who's selling what, and a little history since I live with these guys weekend and week out. It looks like you have an older cup block since it has inline lifter bores. The guy selling the block said the Part Number was 12480046 and the Casting Number is 10051184A.Īccording to this GM block reference chart there is only one block it can be and that is the last one on the list.He did take a pic of the casting number, so I know that is right. But as you can see there are only two blocks that are dry sump blocks, the rest are wet sump blocks which I'm sure would have an oil filter boss cast into the block, which this one doesn't have.Īlso remember this is NOT a SB2(though the SB2 blocks use the same Casting Number).I'll probably get it in a week or so, so I'll take some pics then and check for the things you stated. How do I know, I own a new 8k dollar block just like this. ![]() Does the block have 3/8" fine thread head bolt holes in the deck? On the side of the block does it have cast "CGI"? If it does you are really lucky if not you have a typical nice Bowtie block. I highly doubt this is the 8k dollar one, I can tell you how to check though.
